Pre-conference workshop - "Mastering Tough Conversations"
February 27, 2025 | 8:00am - 4:30pm
The practice of Hospice and Palliative Care involves conversations with patients and families that are often high stakes and involve complex emotions. The VitalTalk Program provides constructive communication skills needed when navigating conversations about serious illness. This interdisciplinary full-day workshop will be experiential, with each participant working in a small group to navigate challenging cases. The workshop offers the opportunity to practice frameworks for supporting patients who are receiving serious news and deliberating about goals of care.
